Hydrosols are defined as "an aqueous solution or colloidal suspension of essential oils, usually obtained by steam distillation from aromatic plants". They are also called floral waters, hydrolates, herbal waters, or essential waters. They contain the water soluble molecules from the plant material, and generally have a pH of 5 to 6, which is perfect for skin care products! Lemon hydrosol is lightly citrusy and energizing! It is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, skin clarifier, calms rashes, irritations, and eczema.

Pure witch hazel (alcohol-free) makes up a fourth of the volume and is also quite beneficial to the skin. Witch hazel possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits to acne prone skin. It also tightens skins naturally and gently.

Vegetable glycerin is the last ingredient in this divine toner. It is invaluable as a natural source ingredient with emollient like properties which can soften and soothe the skin and it assists the outer epidermis in retaining moisture. This helps to explain why it is one of the most popular cosmetic additives used today.
