Length: Approximately 22 inches long. Sterling silver lobster claw clasp.
Sage has been a sacred herb to the native Americans for centuries. It is used for ceremonial blessings and purification, as well at to help ward off evil spirits. Sage represents wisdom and knowledge to other cultures. It even makes Chicken soup better!
This necklace is representational of a Native American smudge stick. In tradition sacred sage is tied together in a bundle and dried.
The core of this pendant is a small glass vial. Around this bottle polymer clay sage leaves have been applied, staggered to give the look of a bundle of leaves. All of the leaves have been molded from real sage leaves.
The top of the bundle is ‘tied’ together with sterling silver wire. The wire has been wrapped around, and forms the loops at the sides which allow it to be hung from a cord.
The necklace is made from several strands of hemp cord of different shade of earth tones. The cords are tied of to the loops on the pendant; the knots are secured so that they won’t come untied. The closure is a sterling silver toggle clasp.
The glass bottle is stopped with a cork. Use this little bottle for essential oil, perfume, a little bit of dried ground herbs, pixie dust or whatever else you can think of!
This necklace is a small pendant, I have another necklace with a larger smudge stick pendant.
Hemp cord, sterling silver findings.
