This is a very cute 1940's derby style hat. The body is a wool fabric in a slate blue color. There a little front brim that becomes narrow on the sides and back. The hat band is a wide lavender satin with an unusual front fold which holds a white long pearl shaped embellishment. A delicate layer of netting lays on the front brim and is attached at the sides. It seems to be in good condition but cannot be worn down, only lays on the brim. Interior is unlined except for a grosgrain ribbon sweatband.

Condition is very good. Colors are bright and original. The satin hat band shows a bit of wear in the back. Satin has a tendency to dimple over the years.
