My mother has always been an avid knitter, and she's made me drawers full of sweaters over the years. Everything she makes has some little detail or doodle, often in the collar or cuffs. When I wear these sweaters inside a jacket, the fancy details still show, which I love. Since I already make jewelry, I thought it would be fun to design fancy collars and cuffs like my mom's, but without the whole sweater. That way, I can just focus on the details, my favorite part. I stitch with so many wonderful bits and pieces. I experiment with all kinds of stitches and tricks with my needles. Each piece is a unique exploration in color and texture.
The inside circumference of the cuff measures 7 inches (18 cm), and the elastic loops stretch almost another inch. The cuff is over 4 inches (10 cm) wide. Hand washable, dry flat.
