*I have crafted this hair snood using a vintage pattern from 1942.
*I make my snoods from high quality lightweight fine fingering yarn to give it the appropriate drape.
*Other snoods use poly nylon yarn. I DO NOT as it will slip when you wear it.
*Other snoods use modern 100% cotton yarn. I DO NOT as it is too heavy and will not give you a historically accurate look.
*I use three different yarns in my snoods. The majority of colors are made from 100% acrylic fingering. Some colors are a slightly lighter weight cotton acrylic blend fingering, and lastly I use a 100% wool fingering. If you have any questions on the differences of these feel free to convo me!
*It is hand washable.
*It has a matching grosgrain ribbon at the top which is pinned on so it can be removed if you prefer.
*This snood is a one size fits all item. It has elastic that runs through it for an custom fit. A couple of bobby pins are recommended to secure it to your hair.
*You can achieve a different look, depending on the length of your hair. If you have shorter hair you can use a hair rat to give it a fuller look or convo me for a custom smaller size. If you have very long hair (mid back to waist length) convo me for a larger snood.
