This spirited set gets its energy from the Kazuri beads stationed along the curvy glass tubes in the necklace. Kazuri beads are handmade in Nairobi, Kenya, from clay from the Kenyan hills. The beads are made by hand by local women, mostly single mothers who are often the sole providers for their families. They are paid fair wages in favorable working conditions, and also receive free medical care.The necklace is 29" long. The beads in the earrings, and the necklace, are about 7/8" across, and the earrings are 1 3/8" long from the bottom of their sterling silver leverbacks. The necklace clasp is also sterling silver.
