It is made with fifteen 8mm Amethyst Beads and a beautiful Antique Reproduction medal of the infant Jesus.
The medal is solid bronze, hand cast using the lost wax method. It is beautifully detailed, and bears the inscription and date from the original owner on the back (see photo 2)
The Novena prayer below is prayed 15 times every day from the Feast of Saint Andrew (the first day of Advent -November 30) until Christmas.
Hail, and blessed be the hour and moment
At which the Son of God was born
Of a most pure Virgin
At a stable at midnight in Bethlehem
In the piercing cold
At that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee,
To hear my prayers and grant my desires
