Purple amethyst gemstones are wrapped with sterling silver wire around hoops. The hoops were created with copper wire that was fused into circles and hammered for strength. Another benefit of the hammered metal is it mirrors the sparkle of the gemstones. I hung these hoops from sterling silver ear wires.

Touching the copper will acquire a great patina. If you prefer to keep it bright and shiny you can clean it with a simple mixture of salt and lemon juice and rinse well when finished.
