I bought the box and a small used book and proceeded to make this blank journal.
The book I converted into the cover is entitled, "Webster's Instant Word Guide: 35,000 Words Spelled and Divided" and it has a HUGE question mark on the front (which reminds me of a smokey cafe full of beatniks :).
The journal has 70 pages (made from 35 envelopes) and each page measures 3 3/4" by 5 1/2," so it is a petite journal. The book itself measures 4 1/4" by 5 3/4". It is hand bound with linen thread.
This journal is rough and tumble, raw and redeemed from the depths of the thrift store! The cover is worn, someone named Donna scrawled their name in the back, the envelopes are sometimes discolored and the edges are deckled from me slitting them open. It all contributes to the overall upcycled appeal of this journal. Keep in mind this journal is just a little fragile due to the aged nature of the materials. It's got a lot of character though, as used things always carry their story with them.
International buyers, convo me for a price on shipping! Thanks!
