I used a palette of seven warm fall colors and simple beadwork pattern to create this cuff. Each color is used in staggered rows of three, and slowly blend from emerald green to a dark topaz brown. The fall colors also include lime green, lemon yellow, tangerine, light orange, and light topaz. The ends of the cuff are finished with a simple straight fringe, and close with a beaded toggle and loop clasp.
Dimensions: The bracelet is 2.3 cm (0.9 inches) wide, and 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) long, including the clasp. When the clasp is secured, the bracelet has an inside circumference of about 15 cm (5.9 inches). The beaded toggle is 2.3 cm (0.9 inches) long.
To really capture the look of fall leaves, I chose beads not only for their colors, but for their finish as well. Each of the beads used in this piece is transparent, allowing all of the colors to pick up lots of light and stand out vibrantly. The simple pattern of staggered rows helps to accentuate the shape of the herringbone beadwork.
Materials used in this bracelet include high quality Japanese glass seed beads, and durable fused nylon thread. The beadwork is strong and sturdy, and flexible enough to form a consistent curved shape when worn.
This one of a kind bracelet comes wrapped in tissue, packed securely with clean, repurposed bubble wrap or foam sheet, and shipped in a durable Canada Post cushion mailer.
