Handspun supercoil yarn olive green OLIVES On The SIDE

A supercoil yarn made from Romney fleece I handpainted in different shades of green with some gold and brown. When I carded it up, they merged into shades of olive, verging into bright green and gold-brown here and there. Supercoil yarn is spun into a long skinny single, then wrapped tightly around a strong cotton core.

Fibre: Romney from Aspen Grove Farm in New Germany, Nova Scotia, cotton core (#10 embroidery cotton)

This fibre was hand-dyed by me in my smoke-free, cat-friendly home using professional dyes, handcarded, and spun on my Ashford traditional wheel before getting a relaxing scent-free Eucalan soak.

Care instructions: Wash and rinse very gently in tepid or cool water, gently squeeze out excess water in a towel, dry flat.
