This is a one-of-a kind piece of art that I created from the inner box of a small cardboard box (approx. 2" x 1.5") that has been painted red and to which is affixed an art sticker featuring a very interesting portrait of Frida Kahlo. It is common knowledge that Frida Kahlo could not carry a child to term due injuries she incurred in a serious bus accident when she was a young woman. She often grieved over this. The print and the surrounding items reflect this. I fashioned white clay calla lilies (symbolizing death) with a hand pushing them to the side. A small skeleton angel holding a heart, and a black rose (also symbolizing death) are adhered to the inner box. On the sides of the box a rose milagro (symbolizing love) and a milagro in the shape of an infant have been affixed. There's a sacred heart milagro glued to the back and the box is finished with an eye milagro on the top of it (from which a glitter tear falls); a gold wire strung with red and gold beads act as a hanger.
My hope is that this artwork brings great joy to the buyer.
