Carman Miranda is a most colorful art doll creation in her aqua ruffled skirt, sparkling green blouse. and brightly colored , ruffled sleeves. I hand beaded her colorful necklace layers, added some colored chain necklaces and bracelets, and for the grand finale, her trademark tall headgear with tall basket with bright flowers tipped a bit to the side!
I personally created Carmen out of wire, clay, paint, and wood- all details of her face are painted pattern free.

Carmen Miranda was born in 1909 and died in 1955.She was a Portuguese-born Brazilian samba singer, Broadway actress and Hollywood film star famous especially in the 1940s and 1950s. She was, by some accounts, the highest-earning woman in the United States and gained fame for her signature fruit hat outfit she wore in the 1943 movie The Gang's All Here.
