A 1930s filigree pendant set with a faux peridot glass stone on the original, paperclip link chain. The necklace is extremely delicate, especially the chain which alternates between crimped and oval links. The chain is marked for 1/10 14K gold, which is twice the amount normally found in gold fill pieces. The pendant suspends from a charming bow shaped snap bail. It has a cast filigree setting holding a beautifully faceted, celery-green stone. The cut is just off square, with mixed faceting and a large table. The glass is prong set with an open back, also faceted to reflect light. There is some wear to the plating on the bail but otherwise condition is outstanding.
