The obi belt inspired mixed fiber brooches creation give so much fun. The different textiles, coming from all over the world, carry with them diverse cultures and traditions. The colors and textures give endless pattern and design possibilities. Which one will I choose?

This brooch is composed of reclaimed material as well as new ones; Sari silk, New printed cotton and a glass bead. I love it!

It is one of a kind a ready to be shipped!

It measures 5.5/7.5cm- 2.16/3"

Enjoy!

My textiles collection is my treasure. It is there that everything begins. Every new jewel is a journey by itself. Textiles bring with them a long thread of cultures, history, traditions and sometime represent a gender (men's neckties for example). I take this raw material out of its context and mix it with other materials in order to create a new item that has its own life and design language. Each one of my jewelry is unique and different.
It has taken me over a year to develop the technique of beads making.
All the reclaimed materials are thoroughly washed, cut according to the design, folded and ironed, cropped and only then hand rolled and stitched into a bead, no glue is used. The final product is light, soft and has a very nice touch to it. Beads might slightly differ in size or shape.
