Inspired by a comic popular over at /r/atheism, I designed this hat for comfort, functionality, and kick-assery. Let the world know you are a redditor! Perfect for meet-ups, or to simply project your status IRL.
I crocheted the hat and double-thick ears from white yarn, and the eyes and antenna ball from a darker orange. Smile is embroidered, and tie straps have wooden beads. The antenna is a white crocheted tube filled with two twisted pipe cleaners -- pipe cleaners give the antenna structure and are removable when it comes time to wash the hat. Reddit alien can be washed on cold, delicate cycle and laid out to dry, given the antenna pipe cleaner has been removed.
