I have spent a ridiculous amount of time finding the ideal fabrics for these wraps. This cotton-spandex has the PERFECT amount of stretch and constriction to keep your baby safe and in place so you aren't constantly readjusting. The weight is just thick enough to keep your baby warm through these winter months without overheating him.
I also have spent a ridiculous amount of time picking out the most stylish colors for this season. These wraps are for moms who care about style and don't believe that being a mother equals being frumpy and outdated. While I try to pick colors that are classic enough to last through your baby's infancy (and I always have neutral colors on-hand), I change up the fabric colors seasonally so that you can feel like your wrap is a real ACCESSORY to your outfits, rather than a distraction.
Every wrap comes with its own handmade, drawstring bag that matches the wrap. This keeps lint from getting on your wrap when it is stored and makes for an easy transport since it easily fits in any diaper bag. It also makes for a picture-perfect baby gift as it also comes with a handmade, letterpressed tag attached.
I really believe these wraps are a MUST-HAVE for the first four months of your baby's life. Most mothers use it every day during this time and several times a week for the rest of their baby's first year. It can be used for babies/toddlers up to 35 pounds.
I've tried almost every other kind of carrier out there and I've had to learn the hard way with baby #1 through months of back problems and migraines from heavy straps that would dig into my shoulders and neck. Safety & care notes:
Machine wash cold and line dry.
Use good judgment while wearing the wrap. Don't use the wrap while you are standing in front of a hot stove or showering or bending over from the waist or doing other activities that could put you or your child in danger. Your baby's face needs to be out of the wrap where it is clearly visible to prevent any breathing difficulties. Periodically check on your baby's body temperature to make sure he/she isn't overheated.
Make sure you are wearing your wrap properly. You are responsible for making sure that your wrap is tied correctly and that your baby is securely inside of it. With your wrap I will send you instructions with photographs, clearly explaining how to wear the wrap. In addition to my instructions, do a Google search and watch a video or two as well. The internet is overflowing with resources on how to wear baby wraps safely, comfortably, and properly so use them! Remember that you are using this wrap at your own risk so be wise about how you use it!
