In this example the tin in the middle is about 6"X6" and is in an 8"X10" shadow box. The frame and backing are black. The tin is also raised off of the backing by 1/8" creating a really cool shadowing effect. The tin is painted and woven together, after it has been stamped. The piece is glued together, and put in a very sturdy shadow box that will last for many years.
I have made four personalized woven sculptures this year, and here are some example of phrases that have been chosen. Normally I ask for three short phrases so that they can be stamped multiple times, but if you choose a larger passage that will work as well.
For Jason from Heather...
-- Jason Heather February 28, 2004
-- What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life -- to strengthen each other in all labour, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting?
-- Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.
Here is one Jeremiah in TN ordered for his anniversary.
-Who can find a virtuous woman... For her price is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10
-Jeremiah & Ashleigh December 13th 2003
-But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15
This woven tin piece is VERY unique, and one of a kind. it is a great gift for any Christian, pastor, family or friend.
Another example..........
It is going to Lindsay in Missouri. She chose to have the following text stamped...
I take you to be my wedded spouse, my partner in life and my one true love to have and to hold from this day forward. I promise to trust and honor you, and laugh and cry with you. I will love you faithfully for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. As I have given you my hand to hold, so I give you all of my tomorrows until we are parted by death according to God's holy law. Ryan & Lindsay--February 28, 2004
