Commonly referred to as the "Seville" pattern, this beautiful Culver set dates from the 1950s or 1960s. The "Seville" differs from the popular "Valencia" pattern, featuring an aqua/blue diamond rather than the green diamond of the "Valencia." The "Seville" also features some gold accents on the diamond, while the "Valencia" green diamond shape is unadorned.
The punch bowl is approximately 10 ¾” in diameter at the top and is approximately 6” high. The serving rack itself measures 15” in diameter and is 2 ½” tall. The metal rack is in good condition, with only slight wear to its finish.
The glass pieces are predominately gold with blue decorations. The interior of the glassware, with its rich, blue color, rivals the amazing appearance of the exterior. The rack has a section encircling the punch bowl that holds the twelve punch glasses. The glasses each measure about 2 ¼” tall and are signed “Culver LTD”.
There is minimal scratching and wear to the gold decorations on the glass pieces and to the metal serving tray. There is significant wear to both the handle and the underside of the ladle. I tried to capture the actual condition of the ladle in my pictures, with only limited success. Please click on the pictures to get the best close up views of the ladle.
Important Note on Care of your Culver Glassware: To preserve its beauty, Culver glassware (like all gold trimmed glassware) should be hand washed only. It is NOT dishwasher safe. This glassware should always be gently hand washed in mild soap.
