I love how the color of the aged vintage paper compliments the gouache painted gray and blue papers. The collage was created on heavy watercolor paper, and thus has a sturdy feel. The colors are calming yet vibrant, and varied textures of the papers are beautiful in person. As I created this collage, I rotated the paper, which has led to a composition that can be displayed in many different orientations. The second and third photos show the collage with different sides up.
The collage measures 11 x 14 inches, and will be signed on the reverse. The actual collage area measures around 6 x 9, with a wide border. The collage was created on archival cotton rag heavyweight printmaking paper. Would look lovely framed, perhaps floated on a white mat board or between two pieces of glass.
