♥ NECKLACE:
This Victorian inspired design brings together both old and new elements to create a one-of-a-kind vintage assemblage necklace.
* Featuring a large round high quality antique watch movement from the Winton Watch Co. -
fine details include exposed gears, beautiful etching, and 17 real ruby bearings.
* It's securely mounted in a round antiqued brass medallion setting with beaded detail.
* It dangles from an ornate connector in antiqued brass.
* I've accented the brass chain with sparkling faceted Czech glass crystals in alternating Bronze and Silver Luster, which compliment the metal clockwork elements beautifully.
Contrasting brass and silver make this a charming and versatile addition to any wardrobe.
♥ EARRINGS:
The matching drop earrings combine Czech glass crystals in Bronze and Silver Luster along with Swarovski rhinestone rondelles in antiqued brass.
They dangle from comfortable antiqued brass leverback ear wires.
These earrings are small and sweet - perfect even on their own to add a touch of sparkle to any wardrobe.

♥ MEASUREMENTS:
The chain measures 17" long and closes securely with a lobster clasp. It includes an additional 2" extender with crystal dangle, so you'll look pretty coming and going.
17" chain + 2" pendant + 2" extender = 21" total length
The earring drop measures 3/4", with a total length including ear wires of approx. 1 1/2".

♥ A LITTLE HISTORY:
Why are there ruby bearings in some antique watches?
Reducing friction is important to watchmaking. Instead of metal moving against metal, watch makers discovered that jewels cause little friction or wear. This in turn would make the watch last much longer. The jewels could be diamonds, sapphires, or most commonly rubies. However, the process was time consuming and expensive, so jewels were placed in only very high quality watches of that era.
♥ CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
As with all items containing vintage elements and plated metals, please prevent contact with water, sprays, chemicals, perfumes and lotions. Polish with a jewelry cloth rather than liquid cleanser which can damage pearls, crystals, and other delicate finishes.
