>>>Please note: I now make these lamps with vintage barn siding so the wood is a bit thicker than in the photographs! Convo me if you'd like to see a picture before buying : ) <<<

Ladies and gentleman of Etsy: if you have arrived here by way of my Featured Seller article then thank you – I am glad that your small glimpse into my soul has not scared you away for good. Better yet, I hope that by reading my quaint interview you have gotten to know me a bit – in an internet sort of way – and I hope that you now feel like a good friend to me, the sort of good friend that buys many, many lamps from the friends of theirs that happen to have lamp shops on Etsy. Such as this one right here : )
Thanks so much for your visit and your support – Luke Lamp Co. would still just be a scribbled idea in one of my tattered pocket notebooks if it wasn't for all you wonderful folks.
Here is the second of my new line of salvaged wood lamps. I recently came upon a nice bunch of salvaged hardwood decking material and after some recent tinkering this new lamp design was born.
After seeing so many fantastic hanging light light designs on Etsy I was inspired to build a lamp with the beauty of a hanging exposed filament bulb paired with the simplicity of a desk lamp: all you do is plug it in and place it on any flat surface in your home.
Made of one piece of gorgeously weathered hardwood and natural jute fiber rope she stands about 11" high, 3.5" wide, and 9" from the back two feet to the front. The main body lovingly cradles a 30 watt Marconi filament bulb (included!) seated in a hanging lamp socket with built in switch. The lamp plugs in to a standard outlet with the attached ~6 foot lamp cord.
When lit this lamp glows a beautiful amber orange, which when paired with the weathered grays of the wood makes for a really nice glow that will complement any room in your house.
In the last photo you can see what this design looks like with a globe style bulb – let me know which style you'd prefer when ordering!
Every one of these lamps will be carefully handmade by me and so no two will be the same! I only have so much of this great weathered wood to work with so there will only be a limited number of these made. Thanks for looking : )
