If you wear the bracelet a lot, the waxed coating will came off and the cotton will became a lot softer. It may be necessary to tighten the knots fromtime to time. If you don't have strong fingers you can use pliers to pull the cord.
To be extra sure you can put a dot of glue in the middle of the knot.
**If you are shopping for a special day or anniversary, please plan your purchase in advance and allow two weeks for North America and Australia and one week for Europe and Italy.
The bracelet will come nicely gift packed.
Last picture is an example of standard packaging, with handmade (by me) fabric pouch and natural cardboard and ribbon, perfect for travelling across the ocean in an envelope and still be great for gift giving! ;)
