This is my little tribute that mans genius and vision. I designed this pendant so that the frame would have the feel of a porthole on an airship, complete with worn metal and rivets. The necklace measures 16 inches around with a four inch extender weighted by another larger swarovski crystal. All the chain on the piece is brass and the porthole frame is painted and aged to look like brass. Swarovski crystals highlight the bottom of the frame. The airships image is covered with a couple sheets of mica tile to act as a glass covering. These thin sheets of natural mineral mica when placed over objects gives an antiquing effect. In the mica sheets are little rivers of mineral inclusions so areas will appear shiny in places giving the effect of aged warped glass.
