0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 1 - 2 years.
It is knit on two needles.

Yarn: Any double knit/ light worsted/ 8 ply
Tension: 22st 30 rows to a 4" (10cm square over stockinette (stocking st) using 4mm (US size 6) needles
Skills required: Cast on, cast (bind) off, knit, purl, decrease, increase
