Richly contrasting against the black motif of the lace, the fabric paint is applied carefully by hand around the edges of the patterns in the lace, popping them out in bright contrasting pops of color. Rhinestones are splashed throughout the 4" deep lace, catching the light as the wearer moves. The dangling charm of a gorgeous tree is sewn on, then enhanced with a hand-painted copper-finish metallic ribbon artfully arranged in prim and proper fashion.
The lace is pleated onto a rich brown organdy ribbon that brings out the tones of the copper. The ribbon is finished on each end with an aglet tp prevent unraveling and fraying, much like a shoelace or corset lacing. The ribbons are quite long, allowing the choker to be worn around any size neck.
This piece is very versatile. It can be worn with a t-shirt and jeans as a choker, or tied loosely to allow it to dangle around the neck. It would look great under the collar of a shirt worn as a jabot to work or the office. It is appropriate for Steampunk attire, neo-Victorian cosplay, or even for just a night on the town with a nice dress!
