I bought this chatelaine in an antique shop in the French Dordogne region several years ago. Paid 120 Euros for it because I was really into chatelaines at the time. Now it's time to let go. The silver plating is wearing away, not surprising as the the item is possibly over 150 years old. It could be easily replated. The second picture shows the plaque that slips inside your waistband or belt to hold the chatelaine in place. The watch is an old pocket watch I've had for 40 years . Doesn't run, but maybe it could with a good cleaning. I put it into the watch case because it fits so beautifully. No charge for the watch. If you're into French antiques, here's something different for you.
