I used the herringbone or Ndebele weave technique to create this bracelet, and finished the edges with a simple straight fringe. The color pattern repeats along the entire length of the beadwork, creating a zig-zag look with columns of alternating lengths in each hue. I have finished the bracelet with a beaded button and loop clasp in matching colors.
Dimensions: The bracelet is 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) wide, and 17.5 cm (6.9 inches) long, including the clasp. When the clasp is secured, the bracelet has an inside circumference of about 15.5 cm (6.1 inches). The beaded button measures 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) across.
Though the beadwork and pattern are quite simple, the size of this cuff makes for a bold looking accessory. It would look great with outfits in similar colors and other cool tones.
Materials used in this design include high quality Japanese glass seed beads, and a Czech pressed glass druk bead for the button base. I weave all of my jewelry with durable fused nylon thread, for lasting strength and consistent beadwork shapes. The bracelet is sturdy but flexible, and will hold a nice curved shape when worn.
