This doll set is made of wool and cotton. Santa and Mrs. Claus stand approximately 9.5 cm/3.75 inches from the tops of their hats to their bases. Their capes are embroidered with whipped chain-stitches, and the borders near the bases have composite herringbone stitches (Mrs. Claus has what is called a "lattice band."). The pom-poms on their hats are made of firmly needle-felted white wool roving. Santa Claus's beard has been needle-felted, too.
The Noel Gnome stands 5.3 cm tall (a little over 2 inches) and has two holly leaves appliqued onto the cape.
Each face is simply embroidered in the Waldorf tradition to encourage open creativity. The dolls are suitable for display and storytelling, and should be kept out of reach from pets and children who still put toys in their mouths (small parts may be a choking hazard). Each base is signed in thread with an “A.”
