In 2009 I escorted my Dad, a veteran of WWII and Korea, on his Honor Flight. Honor Flight is a non-profit organization that flies WWII veterans to Washington DC, at no cost to them, to visit the memorial that was built in their honor. I took this haunting photo at the Iwo Jima Memorial on that trip.
All proceeds from the sale of this photo and the other photos from our trip, will be donated to Honor Flight. We are losing 1,200 WWII veterans each day in the US. Please help support Honor Flight....All they did was save the world.
