What do you do when Christmas is over? Exile your advent calendar to the back of the wardrobe to only get it back out one year later?
Well, not this one. When Christmas has come and gone you just turn it around and use the back as a decorative wallhanging.
Size: 32.5" x 34" (82.55 cm x 86.36cm), size of the advent calendar pockets: 4.5" x 4" (11.5 cm)
Fabric:
- advent calendar side: My Mind"s Eye Christmas designer collections and Kona cotton in Snow for the sashing
- wallhanging (back): a mixture in Kona cotton solids in turquoise, purple, cerise, lime and lavender
- brown with white polka dots fabric for the binding
The blocks on the back are made in a modern wonky design.
It has not been washed as I wanted to leave it to its new owner to decide the look. Washing creates a more antique wrinkled effect that I like, but others may not.
It was a joy to make this advent calendar and I hope it will brighten your home and give you joy as well.
