The base is brown wool, the edges bound in blanket stitch. There are four cream wool flannel "pages" on the interior for storing needles. But it's the ornamentation that makes it truly special: brass rings covered in buttonhole stitch, joined in a flower shape and further embellished with antique faceted steel beads - on both sides!
This needlebook measures approximately 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" when closed.
