The tallest in the nest, Albany is made of stuffed quilter's muslin that has been painted and sanded, then painted and sanded again, giving the fabric a rich patina that feels like old leather. All the details are entirely painted (not drawn with pens or pencils) using acrylic paint and teeny tiny paintbrushes. His quilted wings are button-jointed, allowing them to be posed. His hardwood legs are anchored into a wooden base.
Like each of our pieces, this one is entirely made by our own hands.

The exact piece pictured has been sold, but we've already begun work on the next one in the series. It will look very much like the one pictured, but please allow for subtle differences since they are all hand painted. Once payment is received, it'll take us about a week to finish it for you.
