I like using denim fabrics for these pinafores. It makes them very sturdy and they will outlast any sandbox in the world! This time I went for a medium weight denim in a grayish blue and added this lovely russian nesting doll appliqué (matryoshka) on the chest. I have combined it with light blue seam binding and buttons, and a swirly light cotton fabric for lining.

We love these jumpers so easy to match with a long sleeved shirt in the winter and a t-shirt in the summer. It's very comfortable and easy to step into and just pull up and button over the shoulders with two big buttons.

I wash all my fabric in an eco friendly detergent before cutting them. This prevents them from bleeding or shrinking after I have sewn the garment. We are a smoke free and pet free household.
