This old Harvard Classics book has a very vintage look, with it's green sun-faded spine and embossed crest on the cover. The title is "Elizabethan Drama", and it was about to be tossed when I found it and gave it a second life as a beautiful ring pillow book safe. Open the old hardcover and flip a couple pages, and you'll find a compartment specially designed to hold the included ring pillow.
After the wedding, use the carved area to hold momentos or keepsakes from your wedding day.

The book is a beautiful emerald green with gold lettering on the spine and classic embossing across the over.
The handmade square ring pillow is made of high quality, ivory silk dupioni and a coordinating ivory velvet ribbon.
The pages are securely glued together, and then the inside is precision carved. No two books are alike, so you are sure to get a one-of-a-kind item just like your wedding day!
The inside pages are not lined in any way. In fact, I always maintain as much as the original book as a I can - the bottom page is the original text and page, with a few loose pages before the carving.
In addition to keeping the look of a vintage book in tact, I also make sure to "ethically source" all of my books - meaning I never use new, rare, or valuable books to create book safes. I only use books that are at the end of their lifespan for one reason or anther - whether it be from age, staining or wear, or just a bad copy. I like to think I give these books a new life as an adorable book safe.
