black rayon crepe. The dress has puffed sleeves and
lovely smocking on the upper bodice. The skirt is gored
and flared. A black bow with super-long ends drapes
from the V neckline. The dress also has a self-tie belt
that cinches in the waist.
condition: The dress has one condition issue. There is
raw selvedge exposed at each shoulder (shown). I don't
know if this is the result of an alteration, a repair or a mistake
in the original construction. The dress is otherwise very
nicely tailored and in excellent, really very wonderful condtion.
I'm reasonably certain that a skilled seamstress could eliminate
this problem but it is well beyond my skill level.
