Handspun yarn - BLUE MOON - Hand dyed Corriedale wool, fine sport weight, 380 yards

Most years have 12 full moons, which occur approximately monthly. However, there are a few extra days each year with accumulate, and eventually, through some arcane calculations adjusting the lunar and solar calendars, an extra moon in a normal three month season occurs. Oddly, it’s the THIRD moon in a season of four moons that is called the Blue Moon. Sound confusing? No wonder it is said that rare events occurs once in a blue moon. This yarn has nothing whatsoever to do with calendars, it’s just a joyous, beautiful mélange of blues.

The listing is for one 2-ply skein, weighing 4.0 oz., spun at an average of 1520 ypp (yards per pound). The 380 yards are a DK weight and wrap at approximately 12-14.
