This elegantly quirky brooch is for those who love all things Jane Austen and "Pride and Prejudice".
A snippet of text from a vintage copy of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" has been set in a silver-plated filigree flourish-edged cameo setting. The text has been sealed with Diamond Glaze.
The brooch is decorated with a 10mm orange carnelian bead, which dangles brightly below the cameo. In the middle of the Pride and Prejudice text, you can see the words "Mr Darcy" and "Miss Eliza", from the passage:
"Mr. Darcy is all politeness," said Elizabeth, smiling.
"He is indeed - but considering the inducement, my dear Miss Eliza, we cannot wonder at his complaisance; for who would object to such a partner?"
Elizabeth looked archly, and turned away.
Perfect for Jane Austen fans, this versatile brooch could be worn on your clothes, your bag or tote, or even used as an adornment for your bridal bouquet!
A silver-plated brooch pin bar has been securely glued to the back of the cameo setting and is lockable to ensure that your stunning accessory will not fall off.
The brooch measures approximately 30mm high x 55mm wide (1.6 x 2 in) in size (including the bead dangle).
Being vintage, the snippet of text may show some signs of aging, these are part of the charm of handmade items.
