Hand spun yarn - Japanese Butterflies - Blue Faced Leicester (BFL) wool, fine sport weight, 340 yards

I had a sudden insight as I was plying this yarn. It reminded me of a book from the Metropolitan Museum of Art printed many years ago. It is a boxed accordion fold book of Japanese butterflies that unfolds into one long continuous sheet. A little yellowed now, one of the pages has pink, lavender, and deep purple butterflies that have the same colors as this yarn.

This listing is for two 2-ply skeins, with a total weight of 3.5 oz., spun at an average of 1550 ypp (yards per pound), a Fine Sport. Very soft and spongy these 340 yards wrap at approximately14-16.
