There are blue trees surrounding the entire piece with graceful branches and moons. The piece measures 5 1/4" high by 4" wide.
The luminaries are initially thrown on a wheel and allowed to partially dry to a leather hard state. At this point, I carve my pieces free hand, creating original, one of a kind designs using a simple Exacto knife. I do not use any molds or pre-printed designs in my work.
There is a foot trimmed onto the base of each piece and a slightly raised ring on the inside floor to help keep the candle in place. Tea lights are recommended due to the ease of clean up. In fact, a tea light will be included with your purchase so you won't have to wait to light it!
