Hand-tooled 70s leather shoulder bag expertly crafted and tooled in Costa Rica.
A warm rich caramel colour where the front is hand-tooled and the back smooth. Both sides are whipstitched together. The flap has an intricately tooled medallion of land, sun and sea and it stays in place with a wooden torpedo shaped peg. A long shoulder strap is attached to the bag with heavy-duty o-rings and a few leather boho braids dangle from either side. Beautiful and well worn hippie shoulder bag!

VINTAGE RATING / CONDITION (see home page chart):
Whomever owned this bag, loved it and used it as you can see by marks scattered about - normal wear for aged and well used leather. But, the bag also has some tide rings at back. We did treat the bag with a leather balm and it helped, but as you can see they still remain. Click twice on all the close-ups. That being said, the leather is thick and strong and the construction top notch and the interior is clean. It was built to last and there are many years of wear left in this beauty.
VINTAGE RATING CONDITION CHART:
MINT: like new - no apparent wear
NEAR MINT: minimal, gentle wear from aging, no notable flaws
EXCELLENT: normal wear from aging, does not affect the wearing
VERY GOOD: worn, minor noted flaws, does not affect the wearing
GOOD worn and flawed only gentle wearing recommended
CUTTER: flawed - for study or as a pattern template
