Primitive Folk Art Fabric Art Flower Pillow on Vintage Quilt

This primitive folk art fabric art flower pillow was created for the person that wants to add to their country and primitive decor with a one of a kind handcrafted item--the pillow was done freehand by me with no pattern. The main part of the pillow is from a vintage hand quilted quilt and a lot of vintage handquilting is still visible on the front. The flowers were cut freehand from vintage salvaged string pieced quilt blocks that appear to have been made with "thirties era" fabrics and I then handstitched them onto the pillow with black embroidery thread using a primitive blanket applique stitch. I then added a piece of a vintage doilie to the centers of two of them and sewed vintage buttons in the centers of all them. The leaves and stems and blades of grass were hand embroidered with different shades of green embroidery thread. The rest of the pillow was left plain to allow the vintage handquilting to show. The pillow is backed with soft muslin and closed in the back with a primitive cross stitch and filled with polyfill. It is a bit larger than 6 inches by 5 and 1/2 inches. I will ship this by first class mail in a small box or padded envelope. It was created in my smoke free home.
