These intricate bridal tear drop chandelier earrings feature handmade lace woven with golden and silver threads and embroidered with freshwater pearls and vintage seed beads in shades of ivory and peach. ● Design and Techniques ●

As with all of my designs, I created the textile motifs entirely by hand, using my signature lacemaking techniques and original patterns.
On a netted base of real silver threads, like those used in the opulent embroideries of the Napoleonic era, I've stitched a sinuous pattern of handmade braid, created with threads containing 24k gold. Around the twining shapes, I've hand-embroidered a mixture of sparkling vintage rhinestones, vintage seed beads and peach and ivory freshwater pearls. Three gold lace rosettes decorate the back of the design.
A delicate fringe of freshwater pearls adorns the scalloped bottom edge of each earring. The earrings fasten with 14k gold-filled posts set with faceted cubic zirconia stones.
Opulent and richly textured, yet surprisingly lightweight for a design of this size, these earrings have a wonderful sparkle and luminosity...
