The wood has a distinct shape because it was reclaimed from the bottom portion of a pair of fence pickets... the portion most battered and worn by time, earth and water.
The face of this hat rack stands away from the wall for a 3 dimensional feel. It is built almost entirely out of reclaimed wood from old fences.
This rack features 2 small and 2 large unfinished cast iron hooks, which are fastened to the wood with slotted screws for a more rustic feel. Different hook configurations are available on request.
Hangs with 2 key hole hangers for a sturdy mount. Hangers are 16 inches apart so rack can be mounted directly to studs.
Measures 28 inches wide x 6 inches tall x 6 inches deep.
* Wood might vary in color from rustic grays to dark reds and browns depending on what the pickets were made of and how long Mother Nature has been working on them. (See fourth picture) I try to use vintage hardware whenever possible, so the type of fastener might vary slightly from what you see.
