A beautiful vintage perfume bottle by Irice. This is a very beautiful aqua or turquoise blue with a crackle finish in the glass. The top is accented by a cream or off-white rose molded out of a hard plastic or porcelain. The bottom has a sticker that reads "I.W. Rice & Co., Inc. / Made in Japan / an Irice import". Irice started out as a company that imported various vanity items in New York during the 1920's. It was named after Irving W. Rice and is still in existence today. If you go to a pharmacy that has a perfume display during the holidays, you will probably see some Irice atomizers. Irice never made the bottles themselves as they strictly imported the items. This particular bottle was made in Japan, which dates it to the latter part of the production, possibly the 1950's since this was also when the rose detail was mainly made. In excellent condition, no chips or cracks that I can see and a beautiful addition to a perfume bottle collection.
