Slender and naked a tree is silhouetted by a snowy, stark background. The image is both comforting and calming. I am transported to a beautiful winter day every time I look at this design.
I shape and carve each of these delicate porcelain earrings and then carefully inlay a slender red tree design. Permanently fired into the clay these tree designs will not flake off. I sand the earrings after their final firing, leaving them soft to the touch.
The sterling silver earwires are attached to the organically shaped clay pieces with simple circular twists.
The porcelain piece on each earring is about 3cm x 2.5cm (1.25" x 1") and only 5mm (1/8") thick. The length of the sterling silver earwire is 2.5 cm (1").
These elegant earrings come gift wrapped in a padded box.
