This gorgeous original hand colored engraved map from the very end of 19th century shows all of New Orleans streets and highways as well as public buildings, colleges, railroad stations, parks, cemeteries, theaters, hotels and tons of other cool points of interest in fussy fine detail. There are two keys to the city, one on each side. (See photos 3 and 4.)
'1896 Map Of New Orleans, Louisiana' measures 13.25" x 10.75" overall and it's in wonderful condition, with firm edges, sharp corners and just a just a whisper of light tanning around the very edges. It's folded neatly at the center as issued 115 years ago.
