The glamorous dress is wonderfully constructed and comprised of a black rayon crepe with pink satin and lace accents. It has a wide illusion lace collar which drapes over the shoulders for a capelet effect – along with cap sleeves, yoked and ruched button down bodice, flat panel skirt in front with beautifully draped hips and cascading double-sided pink and black ruffle flounce, down along the back of the skirt.
It also has it’s original self covered belt, small inside shoulder pads, and a metal zipper along the middle of the back.
There are two small breaks on the surface of the lace itself – at the top left shoulder and at the right shoulder (see last pic), but seem lost in the design and don’t appear to detract.
The lovely dress itself is in very good condition and was well stored and cared for over the decades – vibrant, intact, and ready to wear.
