We hope you will try our Cocoa and Shea butter lotion! We hand make every order fresh from scratch; this is not fragranced lotion from a premade base. This lotion is very moisturizing, yet goes on light and sinks in very quickly without an oily or greasy feel. Many people of all ages, with different skin types, use this medium-moisture lotion and love the feel. We are very happy with this recipe and it has gained us many "customers for life" because people appreciate that the lotion is made with excellent quality ingredients and is completely luxurious but won't break the bank like many brand name "luxury" lotions and creams!
Our lotion is made from skin-loving ingredients: Shea butter, cocoa butter, apricot kernel oil, and evening primrose oil provide moisture and vitamins to all skin types. Ivy extract helps boost the skin's blood circulation and helps to tone and tighten the skin (and has even been said to help reduce the appearance of cellulite). Orchid extract has long been used because it has properties that are reparative and protective to the skin, fighting free radicals and reducing the appearance of fine lines. Silk protein helps the skin retain moisture and elasticity, and makes your skin literally "smooth as silk"! We also add allantoin to our lotion because of its ability to hasten the growth of new, healthy tissue and to give the skin a bit of added protection from the elements.
Sometimes what you leave out is just as important... our lotion is free of petroleum, mineral oil, parabens and formaldehyde!
This lotion can be used as an all-over body lotion, but we have had happy customers tell us about their success stories using it on their face, hands, knuckles, knees, elbows, and heels to fight dryness and "ashy" skin. One customer in particular was ecstatic because he used to have a lot of trouble with bleeding knuckles in winter, and he used our yogurt soap and this lotion and hasn't had a problem for two years. That was very exciting for us to hear!
