The first mirror I ever made was a gift for my daughter and although I was thrilled she treasured it so much...I was now addicted to creating these little girls. What girl doesn't love dress up!
The fashion girl is all handcut from many different papers. The background is another piece of paper and then using traditional collage techniques I combine the background and the girl pieces to tell her story. Lulu's hair and boots are handpainted.
The front of the mirror is handpainted with pale lilac colored paint.
Ribbons and fibers with charms and bells are attached to the handle.
Each mirror is truly a piece of art in itself and a one-of-a-kind. There will never be two mirrors alike as I select special charms, stamps, stickers, and papers for each girl.
